Small Shower, Complete Transformation
A compact bathroom shifts from an older tub-and-shower arrangement to a finished shower with dark wall surfaces, a white base, glass, and updated visible fixtures.
This Portland–Vancouver project shows how a compact bathroom can take on a distinctly updated look. The album moves from views of the earlier tub-and-shower setup to a completed shower with dark wall surfaces, a white base, glass enclosure, recessed storage, and visible shower fixtures. The photos focus on the room and its finished details.
A compact room with an older tub-and-shower arrangement
The opening photos establish the bathroom before its new shower is shown: a tight bathing area beside the toilet, with a light-colored tub or shower enclosure and a conventional curtain or framed screen. The footprint remains visually compact throughout the story. Rather than implying a change to the room's layout, the photographs document a new shower presentation within the existing bathroom.

The tight alcove and doorway give a sense of the room's compact footprint.
A darker, more defined shower takes shape
Later views reveal a clear shift in finish and appearance. Dark, large-format-looking wall surfaces create contrast with the lighter bathroom, while a white shower base and glass enclosure define the bathing area. Visible plumbing and shower components are part of the completed setup. The images do not document concealed construction stages, so the story stays with the surfaces and elements the camera actually shows.

Storage and fixtures finish the compact shower
The close-up and wider finished views show how the details work together in the limited space: a recessed wall niche, shower controls, a handheld shower on a vertical rail, and a larger overhead shower head. The glass keeps the shower visually open, and the white base contrasts with the darker walls. The final photographs also show the surrounding floor and toilet, placing the renewed shower in context.
