Contemporary Kitchen + Main-Floor Refresh
A main-floor refresh documents the existing kitchen and fireplace, proposed finish choices, and visible work in progress, including cabinetry, flooring, and fireplace-area details.
This Contemporary Kitchen + Main-Floor Refresh album follows a kitchen and adjoining fireplace area through reference photos, finish-planning images, and later progress views. It shows existing wood cabinetry alongside newer-looking white and deep-blue cabinetry, broad counters, wood-look flooring, and fireplace surroundings. The latest photos document progress rather than a confirmed completed result.
This project is still in progress. The photos below show its current documented stages, not a finished result.
The existing kitchen and fireplace
The opening views establish two parts of the main-floor refresh: a kitchen with warm-toned wood cabinets and light counters, and a living area centered on a fireplace. These reference photos show the starting appearance, including the kitchen's existing work surfaces, appliances, and floor. They help ground the later concept and progress images without implying which elements were removed or retained.

Everyday items remain on the counters in this view of the original room.
A visual direction for connected spaces
Several images present a proposed or illustrative look rather than verified installed work: light upper cabinetry, deep-blue lower cabinets, a broad island or peninsula, and a lighter floor appear in kitchen views. A separate annotated image calls out new tile around the fireplace and new floors; another shows a tile-pattern layout. These images communicate design intent, but the album does not establish that every depicted finish has been installed.

The fireplace-area image offers a visual reference for the connected main-floor update.
A second kitchen angle makes the broad work surface and cabinet arrangement easy to read.
A separate fireplace view documents the area included in the main-floor refresh.

Visible changes take shape
Later kitchen photos show white upper cabinets paired with dark-blue lower cabinetry, appliances, counters, and a prominent island. An additional close-up records a floor vent set into a light wood-look surface. The fireplace views show a changed surround and nearby floor area, while differences in lighting and framing make them progress documentation—not evidence of a final, fully resolved installation.

This view shows contrasting cabinetry and an island within the evolving kitchen.
The latest documented stage
The latest kitchen views bring the cabinetry, counters, island, and adjoining floor into one composition. A separate detail focuses on the floor vent, while fireplace images continue to document that zone of the main-floor work. The album ends at this visible stage; it does not confirm completion, final selections, or whether all planning callouts were carried through.
2 photos in this chapterA close view draws attention to the vent and surrounding floor surface.
The broad island anchors this later view of the kitchen work area.
